Direct stick flooring is a common way to install timber floors by gluing each individual floorboard directly to the concrete substrate, or a timber substrate in older styled homes. If you have chosen to install solid timber, the boards will also be nailed down and glued to retrain the floor and ensure cupping does not occur. For engineered timber floors, nailing the boards is not required.
